Setting up Port Forwarding on a Linksys(tm) router.
When you first enter the linksys router setup interface you will see this at the top of the web browser:

In order to place the computer into the DMZ you will need to know its internal ip address.
This address is usually supplied via DHCP by the Linksys.

| Click on DHCP up top, then click on Clients Table on the bottom of the page -> | ![]() |

To setup port forwarding click Advanced on the upper right and then Forwarding.

You must set up two sets of port forwarding instructions, one for the main connection, and one for the media server.
The entries for a range of ports, apply to either Tcp, Udp, or both, have a target ip address and can be enabled or not.
In this example we are using two ranges of one port, but if your two ports are consecutive you could use one entry.
To set your server's ports up, enter the port #s you specified in the iP server setup.
Make a notation on the left of which application the forwarding applies to for this will help you remember why its in there.
And check TCP, then enter the last bit of your computer's internal ip address and check Enable, then click Apply.
