AV Importer.

To the lower of the text entry box are some mini icons.
The top right most icon opens the av importer.

There are five main areas in the AV Importer.
A - the main import image, here you will load up the pic to import. You can scroll it with the cyan scrollbars.
B - The AV sized section. Float this over the main import image with the magenta scrollbars.
C - The resize controls, you use the buttons or slider to set the resize percentage for the import. They allow you to experiment with different sizes and resize modes until you like what you see in the normal AV sized image.
D - The normal AV sized image adjustment tools. With these you can adjust the AV sized image until you are satisfied with it.
E - The text box, here you can type and hit enter much like you do in the main chat window.

The Importer - Step by step.

To the top right of the importer you will find the LOAD and PASTE buttons.
If you have an image copied to the clipboard you can use paste, otherwise click Load to find it on your hard drive.

This will load the image into the left side main import image(A).
You can see that the normal AV sized image(B) in the middle shows a section of the main image(A).
We will often want to use the resize controls(C) to resize the image to use part of it for an AV.
The cyan sliders around the main image will also let us move its view over the source image.
The magenta sliders around the normal sized image allow us to select which part of the main image we wish to use for the AV.

Above we can see the results of selecting the 55% button. And selecting normal resize mode.
Often with larger images the default boxy mode looks sharper. Trial and error again is what is best.
Also I have moved the magenta sliders to align the AV sized view over the main image.

This pic shows the results of some basic adjustments. I have increased the brightness, contrast, and saturation slightly.
As well as performed some color adjustments with the green sliders. If you scroll up you can see the difference a few adjustments made in the image.

Next we click the EDIT button to send the image to the AV editor.
